Why I Quit Print-On-Demand (P.O.D) for My Art Shop
Share
If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that I started my shop using P.O.D (Print-On-Demand).
Why? Because it was easy. And honestly? I was just being lazy.
But after 7 months of running the shop — half-hearted, unmotivated, and not really trying — all I got in return was… a painful loss.
Financially, emotionally, and creatively. 😮💨
So if you’re thinking about trying P.O.D too, maybe ask yourself these 3 things first:
1. Do you already have a big enough audience who’ll actually buy from you?
2. Are you okay with not having full control over print quality?
3. Does it bother you that your brand might feel a bit generic or lack that human touch?
If any of these make you pause — trust me, you’re not alone.
I talk more about my P.O.D experience in this YouTube video, and if you’re curious about the behind-the-scenes numbers and deeper breakdown, you can find it on my Patreon too.
Just here to share what I’ve learned — so maybe you can avoid the same mistakes I made.
